Adults on the Autistic Spectrum

We provide Caregivers who specialises in special needs (Autistic Spectrum) who have empathy and understanding for Adults with Autism and can provide care on a 1-1 basis while the adult maintains a daily existence.
Many Adults on the spectrum were diagnosed late on in life and consequently were misunderstood by their own families and friends.
Some Adults may have had periods of depression, anxiety, and severe loneliness.
Acoup provides a really great service for adults who need cognitive support and life skill sets to assist them further.
We encourage cognitive support and assist in joining groups and accompanying the Adult to such events to support in case of anxiety/panic attacks.
We encourage walking and joining support groups.
We encourage language learning, role playing, information gathering (eg: 3 interesting new facts each day) as well as daily living assistance.
A Private Tutor / Mentor can assist your family member/loved one understand Autism isn’t a failing, rather it’s a huge gift that needs nurturing. Private Tutor/Mentor usually work with Adults on a minimum visit 2-3 days week ( x 4 hours each time) for a minimum 3 months. This builds trust and continuity with the adult.
